Every listed rate and your calculation

Minutes = calls × average call length. Different callers = calls minus the estimated repeat calls. Use your phone log to replace these assumptions. Only count calls you would send to the service.

Costs exclude taxes, carrier fees, optional tools and human escalation. Calendar integration, staff permissions and your contract may require a different plan. Unknown overage prices remain open.

Choosing for your business

A Calendly-based receptionist should match callers to the correct event type and availability. This shortlist distinguishes recorded direct actions from a configuration path whose booking result remains unconfirmed.

The short answer

Choose by the Calendly event and routing workflow you need, then check the provider tariff and account access. Do not treat sending your booking link as the same service as selecting a slot and completing the event during the call.

What each recorded connection establishes

A connector listing is not proof of a completed booking. Read the action and access limits for each provider.

Rosie

Provider-documented connection. Direct appointment-calendar booking is documented. A field-service dispatch board, route capacity or hotel/restaurant inventory is not established.

Check the direct-booking tier and distinguish its calendar action from the entry plan sending a scheduling link.

Upfirst

Provider-documented connection. Direct scheduling is listed on the provider pricing page; confirm the account, calendar and permitted appointment rules.

A provider-documented Calendly connection is recorded. Demonstrate the actual event type and any team routing rather than assuming every calendar setup behaves the same.

Smith.ai

Provider-documented connection. AI Receptionist is listed for this scheduling connection; consultations can be booked into the connected calendar. CRM logging is separate from this booking action.

The recorded connection should be checked for the AI product and purchased service scope, especially when lead qualification chooses between event types.

Goodcall

Configuration required; action unconfirmed. External API/MCP tools can be configured, but a ready-made booking connector for this exact system is not established in the checked documentation.

External-tool configuration is recorded, but direct Calendly booking is not established. Require a completed event before treating it as equivalent to the documented actions.

Marlie

Provider-documented connection. Checks live calendar availability and books consultation appointments during the call. This is a general calendar connection, not a clinical, dental or dispatch-system write.

Use the recorded connection evidence as a starting point and confirm the selected event, permissions and plan conditions in your account.

Assumptions: 3 minutes per call, 25% repeat calls, one business and monthly billing. Distinct callers round up. The calculator selects an eligible listed plan; it does not assume a missing overage price. Required known subscriptions are included; unknown totals stay unpriced. Taxes, carrier fees, optional extras and separate setup fees are excluded. These are cost models, not call tests or binding quotes.

What a working Calendly setup should demonstrate

Match the call to the correct event type

Use a short consultation, a longer appointment and an inquiry that should not book anything. Check whether the receptionist selects the appropriate event type rather than handing every caller the same link. Intake fields should survive into the event your team sees.

Check team availability and assignment

If several staff members can take an appointment, demonstrate how the chosen Calendly setup selects them. A single-person event is not proof of a team-routing workflow. Verify duration, buffers and limits in the account you intend to connect.

Separate link delivery from completed scheduling

A text or email containing a Calendly URL leaves the caller to finish the booking. Direct booking completes the action during the call. Both can be useful, but compare their conversion steps and staff responsibilities as different workflows.

Test qualification and failure paths

Have a caller request the wrong service, omit a required field and ask for an unavailable slot. Confirm that the agent either resolves the problem within approved rules or records a clear callback request. Do not allow it to promise an appointment that has no completed event.

Include the underlying account

The receptionist subscription does not establish the price or eligibility of the Calendly plan, team features or API permissions. Include the existing account cost and any upgrade required for the demonstrated action in your full budget.

AI receptionists for Calendly: questions

Is a Calendly link the same as direct AI booking?

No. A link asks the caller to complete scheduling later. Direct booking creates the event as part of the call workflow.

Does a named connection support every Calendly event type?

That is not assumed. Demonstrate the event types, team assignment and account permissions you need.

Do the receptionist estimates include Calendly subscription upgrades?

They include only known required costs recorded in the calculator. Any additional Calendly subscription or account upgrade needs a separate check.

About this comparison

Prices: USD calculations use your selected call volume and duration. Taxes, carrier fees and optional extras are excluded; setup fees and required subscriptions are shown with the offer. Reported amounts and model ranges are estimates, not binding quotes. Provider terms determine the final charge.

Recommendations and reviews: Picks use documented task, industry and software fit. Known costs above your budget are excluded from shortcuts; unknown totals remain labelled. Customer ratings retain their source, sample size and product scope. Platform-wide ratings do not isolate AI performance. No independent call tests have been performed.

Funding: We may earn a commission when you sign up through our Rosie, NextPhone, AI-Receptionist.com, Maple or OnCrew links. These affiliate relationships do not change editorial rankings, awards or customer ratings. No paid ranking placements are currently active. Any future paid position will be labelled Promoted; editorial awards and public review scores remain separate.

Ranking and price methodology

Recommended: documented fit, then customer feedback. Price availability does not affect the order.

Rankings & commercial relationships ⓘ

Customer rating sources

Our order. Our funding.

What determines the order?

With existing software selected: documented task-compatible connections come first; offers requiring a different business platform are hidden. Unconfirmed connections are available through a separate opt-in. Recommended is the default: a labelled Promoted offer, when an eligible commercial contract is active, appears first. The highest confirmed commission in this filtered view determines that paid position. The editorial order follows documented software / industry fit, then customer feedback adjusted for sample size and product scope. Missing public pricing, amounts, price reports and price/value/feature awards do not change Recommended. Cost-only and name sorts do not pin paid offers. Customer feedback affects editorial ordering with explicit sample-size and product-scope adjustments; raw stars alone do not determine the order.

Named integration → industry workflow → industry mention → general candidate. These are source-evidence groups, not results of independent call tests.

Do we receive a commission?

We may earn a commission when you sign up through our Rosie, NextPhone, AI-Receptionist.com, Maple or OnCrew links. These affiliate relationships do not change editorial rankings, awards or customer ratings. No paid ranking placements are currently active. When commercial placements are activated, commission determines the clearly labelled Promoted position in Recommended, separately from editorial price/value/feature awards and review scores. Rates are compared as contract-confirmed USD payouts per qualified conversion over the first 12 months; unconfirmed percentages are not treated as dollar payouts.
